The Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance presents the inaugural POLK TALES: Storytelling Festival. Featuring three days of interactive storytelling fun, the event is headlined by Paul Strickland, a nationally-recognized storyteller from Kentucky. Find out more about Paul HERE.

POLK TALES: Storytelling Festival Schedule

Friday, February 9, 8 pm in the Ghostlight Lounge at Theatre Winter Haven
Paul Strickland is the featured storyteller for the festival’s kick-off event on Friday evening. Come hear Paul regale the audience with stories from his vast repertoire, featuring fun, family-friendly material.

Saturday, February 10, 5:00 pm at The Polk Museum of Art
Paul Strickland is the featured storyteller but will be joined by special guests from the Orlando Story Club and our very own, Sharktooth Sam!  Come see and hear some great interactive family-friendly material.

Sunday, February 11, 1:00 pm at The Florida Children’s Museum at Bonnet Springs Park
The festival concludes with a special children’s performance by Paul Strickland and Sharktooth Sam. This event is sure to engage the entire family. 
Tickets are $5 and are only good for admission to the concert. Additional fee required to enjoy the Florida Children’s Museum. Concert is free with museum admission and/or membership.
