Peace on Earth: Holidays at Bok Tower Gardens

Holidays at Bok Tower Gardens Returns November 27 through January 3

Lake Wales, FL — Inspired by the challenges of 2020, Bok Tower Gardens is re-imagining the holidays with a new theme that celebrates the legacy of Edward Bok and spotlights the artistry of Mother Nature.

From November 27 through January 3, enjoy Peace on Earth, an outdoor holiday celebration that connects visitors to nature and encourages feelings of peace, joy, and goodwill to all. This winter season is a time to rejoice and reflect on how we can make the world a bit better for the coming year. Open 365 days a year, the Gardens will open at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Red & Green: The Colors of Christmas
This year’s holiday foliage display has been expanded to include colorful plantings of poinsettias, begonias, and petunias. These blooms join towering evergreens for a magnificent portrait of horticultural artistry. The seasonal beauty is accented with daily holiday carillon concerts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

New for 2020 – Peace on Earth: The Legacy of Edward Bok
Edward Bok was a man of action: he built a garden sanctuary; he offered The American Peace Award, and he inspired many through his writings and acts of kindness. Visitors will learn more about his legacy of peace with this outdoor exhibit located on the Oval Lawn.

Critter Christmas at Pinewood Estate
Tucker and Tilly, the Pinewood Estate squirrels, have invited their forest friends to bring the spirit of the holidays outdoors. Fun for the entire family, Tucker & Tilly will be hiding in the estate’s gardens. Children can pick up a Critter Christmas Guide and search for each of these forest friends to receive a prize.
