PARDON OUR DUST
As we build for the future to tell stories of the past
Construction is underway at the Main Branch of the Lakeland Public Library for the Lakeland History and Culture Center. The Center, once completed, will be an area within the library that captures and shares Lakeland’s unique history.
Construction began in January and is expected to last from 8 to 12 months.
During construction, most of the library will be closed to the public, with the exception of the Children’s Room and Black & Brew. The Library’s Meeting Room will be converted into a space to handle check-outs, hold pick-ups and will include a small collection of popular adult books and DVDs. Computers for adult use will not be available on site.
