The Polk Arts Alliance presents its 5th Annual Sm(ART) Business Symphonic, Educating an Innovative Workforce, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 3:00-5:00pm at Harrison School for the Arts, 750 Hollingsworth Rd in Lakeland.

This year’s symposium, “Connecting the Dots: Infusing Arts into Education to Drive Outcomes,” features: Guest speaker Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research & Development for Americans for the Arts; Beth Cummings, Director of Fine Arts for Polk County Schools; Roundtable discussions with Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz, V-P Citizens Bank & Trust, Bonnie Parker, and Joe Tedder, Tax Collector for Polk County; and Amy Wiggins, Executive Director of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra discussing Polk County Cultural Arts Organizations Impact Education.

Also featured are “Drumbeat: Musical Futures (Rock-N-Rol Academy) STEM-STEAM, and the Polk Arts Alliance presenting the Arts & Economic Prosperity Report 5 for Polk County.
