RFP for AMP Academy Summer Enrichment Activities

Polk County School Board has published an RFP for an Accelerating Maximum Potential (AMP) Academy for Title I eligible schools as well as those students that are a part of the Migrant Education Program or identified as an English Language Learner.

The AMP Academy is a unique summer program that provides learning activities designed to promote English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, and/or Technology in a non-conventional setting through experiential learning. Camp attendees will have the opportunity to extend their learning outside of the traditional classroom setting to explore unique enrichment activities of their choice. Offerings might include, but are not limited to, creative and performing arts, physical activities, and STEM programming.

The AMP Academy programs must operate within twenty-four (24) days, beginning Monday, June 13, 2016 and ending Friday, July 15, 2016, with no program on Monday, July 4, 2016.

The Academy will provide individual programs that allow for experiential learning outside of the classroom setting.  You may download the documents by visiting www.myvendorlink.com, then on the top navigation click on Bid Solicitations.  You may select Polk County School Board then search solicitations. Or, you may search by RFP number, type 038-PCR-0216 into the box titled “ID Number”.  One thing, you must register with VendorLink in order to download the documents.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held tomorrow, Friday January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the PCSB District Office.

The deadline to apply is February 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm.

The anticipated award date is March 8, 2016.
