Children’s Festival Features Grand Opening of Chagall for Children & Hand ‘n Hand Traveling Art Exhibits

Explorations V Children’s Museum hosts its annual Children’s Festival Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 10am until 3pm. The festival includes art, science, music, woodworking, bounce house, entertainment and many other hands-on activities throughout nearby Munn Park. A bicycle give-away, nature show and “big wheel” vehicles are also scheduled.

A ribbon cutting will be held at 11a.m. two traveling art exhibits, Chagall for Children, sponsored by Visit Central Florida, and Hand ‘n Hand, an exhibit of works from students with disabilities through VSA Florida. Special guest, Erica Riggins from Bay News 9, will serve as emcee for the event.

The admission fee for the festival is $5 per person with those under two admitted free. All activities are included with admission while supplies last.

The festival is held annually in conjunction with the national “Week of the Young Child” and the statewide “Children’s Week” which focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families.
