Explorations V Children’s Museum, located at 109 North Kentucky Avenue in downtown Lakeland serves as a venue for the world class Chagall for Children traveling exhibit. The Chagall for Children exhibit is having its soft opening now, with the grand opening during the 33rd Annual Children’s Festival on April 12. The interactive exhibit runs through July 12.
The exhibit, created by the Kohl’s Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago in Glenview, Illinois, features 15 interactive, multi-sensory components that incorporate reproductions of works by master artist, Marc Chagall. It has been hosted by such museums as the Austin Children’s Museum, the Manhattan Children’s Museum, the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum, the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum in Atlanta, GA and the Young at Art Museum in Davie, Florida. Georgann Carlton, Explorations V Children’s Museum CEO, stated “From his paintings to his tapestry, Marc Chagall was acclaimed for his use of color. It’s exciting to bring this interactive celebration of color to our children and families.”
