Art in Transit Poster Competition – 2025–2026
We’re inviting Polk County artists to bring creativity to the streets through our Arts in Transit program! Selected works will be displayed at bus stops across the county through September 2026, turning everyday spaces into vibrant showcases of local talent.
What’s Up for Grabs?
Artists will receive 46″x31″ bus stop posters to transform using any medium — paint, collage, mixed media, digital, or anything else that inspires you.
· Each poster has one blank side, and either side can be used for your artwork. Artwork should be vertical orientation.
This year’s theme: Transportation and Movement — interpret it your way!
· Artists must reside within Polk County
Poster Pickup: Friday, October 31, 11 AM – 2 PM at the Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance office

Submission Deadline: Monday, November 24. Send an image of your completed work to admin@polkarts.org or drop off your art to the poster pickup location from 10am-12pm.
Jury Selection Announced: Friday, November 28
10 artists will be selected and awarded $150 each
