Program/Trunk Show on Heirloom Gowns

A second great happening is that Davenport Historical Society has asked Crossroads Stitchers to speak on several topics on Monday, July 11 at 10 am at the Peter Rust Civic Center.  Kathiann will present a program/trunk show on her heirloom gowns. What a great way to learn about garments from long ago and how and why they were made.

Plus…Lori (our very own Veteran) and Celeste (who thought of making these quilts) will talk about making our lap Quilts for Veterans. The Davenport Historical Society is moving ahead for their November Veteran’s Day celebration at which time, our quilts will be presented.

We’re all invited as well as any interested parties.  Let’s support our wonderful members by attending. Feel free to bring a friend. Harriet has said “the more the merrier.” These presentations will be followed by DHS regular business meeting.  This is also a chance to see all the great history on display inside the PRCC.
