Reception/Award Ceremony: Saturday, April 18 at 11 am

This annual exhibition is a juried competition for 15th Congressional District high school art students. The winning Congressional Award from this competition, chosen by 15th Congressional District Representative, travels to Washington, D.C. to be displayed in the year-long nationwide exhibition in the U.S. Capitol. This national competition is sponsored by the Congressional Arts Caucus and the office of Congressional District Representative. The 15th Congressional District competition is a cooperative planning effort between Representative Spano’s office, 15th District Public Schools and the Polk Museum of Art.

2020 marks the thirty-eighth year that members of the U.S. House of Representatives have recognized the creative spirit of American high school students (grades 9-12) with a national art competition. The Polk Museum of Art conducts the competition and mounts the exhibition for the 15th Congressional District including parts of Polk, Lake, and Hillsborough counties.

Corporate underwriting for the exhibition is provided by
