The application deadline is Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11:59 pm (Eastern).
The Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance in partnership with Art Crawl has developed the Emerging Artist Grant Program to assist artists in the development of their careers. Award recipients receive $2,000 to assist in the the production of new work, a professional mentor to offer guidance to the artist in their development as a professional artist, and an exhibition during the grant period.
Grant Categories
Up to 5 grants will be awarded for original work in the areas of:
- Choreography (of all kinds)
- Interdisciplinary arts (a combination of more than one type of genre of art that often involves technology and digital arts)
- Literature including poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction (does not include journalism, self-help, children’s books, and books with a structured commercial purpose)
- Media Arts (including film, photography, computer and digital arts, audio, and interactive media)
- Music Composition
- Theater Creation (including playwriting, directing, musical direction, stage design, and stage lighting)
- Visual Arts (including 2D and 3D visual arts of all kinds)
