
The Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance (PACA) and Citrus Connection have partnered together to produce the program, Art in Transit. This year long program aims to bring art to unexpected places, expanding the arts and culture audience in Polk County.
PACA will partner artists and organizations with a variety of projects in partnership with the Citrus Connection to create artistic experiences on buses and at bus stops and terminals. The partnership with PACA has allowed the program to expand from past years, extending the program from one packed week of art experiences to at least 10 months.
Look for artist creations at the following bus stops around Polk County:
- Posner Park Shopping Mall, Davenport
- Haines City Plaza, Haines City
- 1201 1st St. S., Winter Haven
- E. Van Fleet / Hwy 60, Bartow
- Gow Park and Ride, Lakeland
- Walmart at Imperial Blvd, Lakeland
- N. Florida Ave. & Modest St., Lakeland
- U.S. 98 N. & Pyramid Pkwy, Lakeland
- Walmart at Carter Rd., Mulberry
- Town Center at Ingraham Ave., Lakeland

Bus riders can be on the lookout for specialized bus passes with art from Josh ‘Bump’ Galletta and enjoy a recording of local Black poetry featured for Black History Month throughout the month of February.
