Native American Literature and Culture: A Discussion with Diane Glancy and Dr. Rachel Luckenbill

Join in the conversation as guest author Diane Glancy and Dr. Rachel Luckenbill (Professor of English at Southeastern) dialogue about their research of nineteenth and twentieth century Apache prisoners of war from historic Forts Sill and Marion.

Award winning Cherokee writer Diane Glancy has published an impressive 45 works including novels and collections of short stories, poetry, plays, and creative nonfiction essays. Having retired as a professor at Macalester College, Glancy travels the country speaking to topics such as faith, writing, land, education, and cultural identity. During a four-day residency at SEU, she will share her fiction and creative nonfiction while teaching students and faculty about Native American experiences of the past and present.

The discussion takes place in the College of Natural & Health Sciences Lecture Hall, S107 on the campus of Southeastern University.
