Every year, Polk Museum of Art works with local cities to install new sculptures in downtown parks. This year, the Cities of Winter Haven, Lakeland and Sebring are participating in the Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition.
Sculptures are selected by a committee of community members and Museum staff for the Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Those sculptures are displayed for a year. An independent judge selects the Best of Show, Second Place and Honorable Mention awards, which are announced at the public celebrations planned by the cities.
Lakeland – Sculptures are located on the south side of Lemon Street between South Florida Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue.
Winter Haven – Sculptures are located in Central Park in Downtown Winter Haven.
