Polk County Schools proudly present their 8th Annual All-County Dance Festival and Gala Concert on Saturday, April 11th, 2015. The dance festival and gala concert encourages and supports the elements of artistically based dance and performance through dance educational opportunities for students while also serving to further the community’s understanding and appreciation of the art form of concert dance.
The dance gala concert entitled, “An Evening of Dance in Polk County,” begins at 7:00pm and features Davenport School of the Arts, Harrison School for the Arts, Hillcrest Elementary, McLaughlin Middle School and Fine Arts Academy, Bok Academy, Lake Wales High School, Jewett School of the Arts, Rochelle School of the Arts, Ridge Community High School, and Tenoroc High School. These ten Polk County Schools dance programs will each showcase their dancers in the gala concert.
The gala concert will be held at the Frank R. Howes Theater located on the Davenport School of the Arts campus. The performance begins at 7:00pm on Saturday, April 11th, 2015. Purchase tickets online for $5.00 at www.davenportschoolofthearts.com. Click on the “Seat Yourself” logo, then choose the “All County Dance Gala” on the calendar to purchase advance online tickets. Tickets will be available at the door for $6 on a first-come basis. The box office will open at 5:30pm and theatre doors will open to the public at 6:30pm.
